This weekend we disconnected the power to the old scoring tower and the concession stand. I would like to thank Mike Lauterborn with Lauterborn Electric for coming out last night. Thank you also for your guidance with the electric on this project. We rented a lift again this weekend which enabled us to remove a bunch of old lines to the white scoring tower and to one of the light poles. We also removed an old quartz light fixture. We made the decision to replace the breaker box in the base of the scoring tower. I picked up a replacement this morning so that we are ready to wire everything in fresh.
Unfortunately we didn’t have enough people to organize taking apart the railing. We need folks to bring hand torches with them if you have them. Thank you to Dom Mangione for showing up this morning to help. Thank you also to Kaydon VanDyne for stopping by in the afternoon looking to help. Irene Fink and Jake Starr helped position the lift so that I could go up and cut down old lines and fixtures. Thank you to Chelsey Robinson for offering to bring food, since I was the only one there around lunchtime I asked her to hold off.
Tomorrow we plan to start around 11am. If we can get a crew together we can start taking the guard rail apart. I have banquet tickets in my possession for sale, so if you stop by you can purchase yours tomorrow.
