This weekend we got some critical tasks out of the way. We took down all of the old poles that needed to be removed. Mark Preston and Dave Farnan worked their tails off dismantling a ton of guardrail. Mike Fauci, Nick Fauci, Jake, Starr worked as a great team removing the old poles. I worked on wiring up the concession stand panel. Kaydon Vandyne was an excellent runner helping to get things that I needed during the wiring process.
I met with Mike Lauterborn at 8:15 this morning to set the new main power pole. Nick and Mike, and I helped Mike L. to set the new pole. Mike, Nick and Mark also worked some more on sorting the guardrail. We definitely have a bunch of guardrail that will need to be replaced. We still have more to sort so that we can find it when the snow returns. I will finish wiring up the new breaker panel in the old scoring tower, hopefully this week. Mike L. will return when we are ready to tie the new power lines in at the pole. Now that the poles have been removed we can begin shaping the new track surface.
Thank you to everyone that came out this weekend. If everyone pitched in even half as much as these guys and Kaydon do we’d be in great shape.
