The snow was steady today, but so was the progress. The weather looks much better next weekend so we will be here both Saturday 11/24 and Sunday 11/25, Rain/Snow or Shine. This will be when we hope to begin digging trenches and laying the conduit necessary to bury the power lines. We could definitely use some more help, and some equipment.
Today we continued to remove large sections of guardrail and fencing. I left around lunchtime to celebrate my Mom’s birthday with my family while the work continued. I returned to find that a lot had been done today by our dedicated crew. Jan Lynch, John Kreckman, Mark Preston, Tony Marianetti, and Tom Marianetti worked as a team removing one section at a time. Cutting, hammering, ramming, dragging - Whatever it took to get the job done. Amber Robinson delivered enough food to feed an army, two types of chili with all the fixings, Italian bread, cornbread, soda, and cookies. Irene & Kaitlyn Fink, Amber Robinson and her friend Tammy tackled the backroom of the office trailer. Things are much more organized and cleaner. Thank you, ladies.
We’ll be here both Saturday, 11/24 and Sunday, 11/25, and could really use more help as we continue to remove guardrail, fencing and fence posts. Anyone with digging equipment – We hope to begin digging trenches next weekend when the weather lets up a little. Let me know if you can help with this crucial phase of the project. Please remember to dress for the weather. Boots are recommended the grounds are still very muddy. Tools are needed: Grinders, Sawzalls, portable band saws, impact guns, socket sets up to a 1 ¼”, hand tools, shovels, rakes, hammers, wood saws, metal saws, welding equipment, portable air compressors, any type of tool.
We could still use more of the following:
4” x 2” rectangular steel tubing
Guard rail
Scrap steel (Square tubing/round tubing /flat stock etc.)
Metal fencing
3/8 inch cable
Fill dirt
PVC conduit any size
URD cable 4/0 and other sizes
UF romex 12/2 14/2
If you have any leads regarding reasonably priced or free materials please call or message Billy Coffey

Thank you again to everyone that helped today. I look forward to seeing more there next weekend and in the coming weeks.
